Confessions of a Hypocrite
I often complain about the deplorable state of MTV and yet I can’t, even to save my life, stop myself from watching Laguna Beach. I’m not a regular viewer but I catch the reruns whenever I can and sit, glassed eyed and stupified, while Alex M. and Jessica fight over Jason. Ah, Jason. Out of all the cast members of Laguna Beach, Jason is the one I loathe the most. His profile on MTV.com claims he’s the “bad-boy” of the show, a guy who can’t seem to commit to just one girl. Let me put it this way: Jason would have more personality if he were beaten to death with a baseball bat. Jason seems to exist on a plane most humans being don’t; a plane where facial expressions and conversation are virtually nonexistant but grunts and one-word responses are the only means of communication. I just so happen to have a visual aid of what exactly goes on in Jason’s mind:
Clearly, his strained smile seems to say, “Hey, I’m a cool guy” but as I’ve demonstrated, there’s really nothing going on up there. I’d hate to single Jason out because he’s certainly not the worst mindless douchebag on the Laguna Beach crew but he’s absolutely the most uninteresting. In comparison, I have way more fun trying to figure out how many STD’s Kristin has than watching an episode with Jason in it.

Nice graphic, I like visuals. They help me understand things. I’ve never seen this show before but I think Jason’s photo says all I need to know.
I think I’m picking up on a pattern in your posts. First there was a string of boob related posts, now it’s poop. What next? I’m on the edge of my seat (literally).

I think we do have Laguna Beach here, but I just rarely watch MTV anyway. I think it’s full of … pompous, snobby people? (Think Rich Girls and My Super Sweet Sixteen.) Interesting illustration up there, though the edges could be a little cleaner… (kidding, kidding!
)

Hey mari! that blog entry was taken down, and even though i stand still for what I said, i didn’t mean it for all the people of New O. It was meant for the select, but I took it down due to controversy.
Oh, and Jason is pretty cool but he does always look like he is else where. Or maybe, he is Silent yet Intelligent? Doubtful. Well, I hope u and MTV find some common ground w/ eachother! loves! -Kari-

roflmao. Yeah I’ve heard a lot abot Laguna Beach, haven’t actually watched it though since it doesn’t broadcast in Australia.. but haha.

lol i watch those reruns too when i’m bored. they irritate me to death but i dont watch it enough to know their names. i just sit there wondering, “are there really people this stupid?”
