I Have Since Passed The Turkey Through My Bowels
Unable to deal with the news of Nick and Jessica’s breakup, I’ve been in hiding for the past week while I recover from the news. Apparently, Nick is tired of living under the shadow of Jessica’s gigantic breasts. Meanwhile, she’s concluded that there isn’t enough room in the marriage for her ego (or her breasts) to survive. And this is all very agonizing for me since I’ve always thought that they were adorably stupid together.
It’s a little late to reflect on Thanksgiving but I’m relieved to announce that there was only one casualty this holiday: my computer had a complete meltdown and I was sans internet for about a week. I’ve since reformatted but I’m still experiencing a few bugs with uploading radio.blog music which is why there’s a measly 4 songs to amuse you.

I spent Thanksgiving intermittently cleaning and cooking from 9am in the morning until dinner time at 6 :30pm. That’s a long time to be doing something. We spent only 15 minutes scarfing the fruits of our labor down and then it was all over. There was poker, FIFA 2006 (PS2), Scene It and painful realizations that hosting a party is extremely exhausting. Somehow, in the span of one party to the other, I always forget how much energy and alcohol is required to host a successful party. Bottles and bottles of alcohol. Still, gathering together with friends is the ultimate celebration and I would clean and whine again for hours to have them over again. “I awoke this morning with devout thanksgiving for my friends, the old and the new.” - Ralph Waldo Emerson
During the break I finally finished my first knitted project. I had a hard time knotting on fringes evenly and I ended up with two more on one end. I’m considering adding some cute buttons to prettify it but I’m eager to start on my next project: another scarf. Once I complete my Fall semester (in two days!) I will be neck deep in knitting projects and letter writing, but mostly lackadaisical behavior.

Haha, Hello Kitty needs a scarf too, eh? I think it looks great, very nice colour and design.
And sure, hosting a party (or “open house”, we call it) takes a whole lotta work. The kitchen will be bustling and there would be stuff all over the place, you need to move from the kitchen to the dining table a whole lot, re-filling dishes and especially if there are kids … clean up all the time. Oh, no alcohol though, so we rely all upon our nice-ness and endurance.

I thought I’d already left a comment to this entry saying that even when you talk about knitting you sound infintely cool. I’m a little drunk right now and not sure whether infintely is actually a word. But you know what I mean.

yeah i reckon that whole breakup news is quite sad.. naively enough I thought they’d be together forever since they looked pretty strong compared to other celeb marriages ;-x ahh well.. let’s hope to get over it now.
