I Leave The Internet Alone for 5 Minutes

It’s been almost 3 weeks since my last confession and during my winter/drunken hiatus 2006 has already managed to shock me: Lindsay Lohan stuns the nation with claims that no one saw coming of bulimia and drugs. 77 unlucky pooches meet their demise from snacks that may or may not have been bacon. The miner tragedy grows exponentially more depressing with each faulty news report and a one-eyed kitty steals my heart.

I rarely talk about my job for fear of being dooced and yet I must somehow share my misery with the world. I work at a local community college and as such, my schedule coincides with each semester which can be a good and bad thing. Good in that I get an amazing amount of vacation time and bad in that I don’t get paid for it. My duties usually include sulking at my desk and avoiding middle managment as much as possible. It’s not that I hate my job it’s just that I die a little every time I have to come back to this place.

Next week I begin another semester of college. I’m more optimistic about my courses especially my Sex in Literature and Film class. I can’t believe there’s a course that has combined all my 3 main interests into a two hour session. Surely the Gods of Academia are smiling down on me.

I’m still knitting at a painfully slow rate.

Well, 2006 has brought wonderful gifts with it. Poor Miss Lohan, i would have never guessed!! *puts hand over chest in exlaim of shock*, anyways, I live next to the town where the miners where. Its really sad. the pricks who can’t get the reports right need to fade into sweet oblivion, or not. Im sorry about your job. I die a little more each day because I have to get up at a sweet 5:00 in the morning. and it gets better, that after school is over, i still have to get up everday at 5:00 until I retire and move into a hotel in Florida. Oh well. ohhh Sex, Literature, in Film, that should lead to a steamy night. *rolls eyes* lol. Good luck!

Interesting news. Cy the kitty has been in the news everywhere too, poor, poor creature. =(

Yeah, I used to wish that my parents (or at least one parent) worked as school teachers, so that when I’m on holiday, they’re on holiday too. (So we could actually go on vacations and stuff.) But teachers are underpaid, and add to the unpaid holiday thing, eh … bad idea.

I never knew the word “dooced” exists.
