Tinkerbell is so 2002

I scored a pair of tickets to a Walt Disney World theme park last weekend. My boyfriend and I decided to visit the Magic Kingdom on the coldest day of the year. I neglected to bring my jacket and ended up paying an ungodly amount of money for an unflattering Tinkerbell fleece pullover. There’s only one major rule to abide by while living in Orlando and it’s to avoid Disney and/or any tourist purchases at all costs. I’ve lived in Orlando for the better part of 10 years and I can’t just wear a Tinkerbell fleece pullover when I live here. It’s the worst fashion faux pas I can possibly commit-but Tinkerbell is awfully cute.

White FlowerThe weather this weekend was far more pleasant and enjoyable. We strolled through the psuedo-posh neighborhood of Winter Park and I snapped a few photos of the first signs of spring. The rose garden on Park Avenue was beginning to bloom and there was just the faintest whiff of that powdery-flowery scent. Photo-sharing and printing sites such as Shutterfly and Snapfish offer deals on free prints and poster sizes which are perfect for cameras that produce large photos. My plan is to make larger prints and frame them for my Redecorating The Office Operation.
I’m 75% done with my knitted beige scarf and have finally learned the purl stitch. I recieved 200 Knitted Blocks as a Christmas gift and have started on the first one; a simple striped block. I don’t think I’ll actually knit all 200 or what I’ll ultimately use the blocks for but it’s the effort that counts.

As if I didn’t have enough to do (my classes begin this afternoon), I signed up for my little mochi’s post card swap. I have ten days to send out ten personally designed postcards and I find this insane. It takes me 4 weeks to do a single load of laundry.
