As you can see, Shibooya is now purpler. The yarn in the header is the yarn I’m using to create a cell phone cover (which is actually more pink than purple). Since it’s sock yarn, I’m basically making a cell phone sock. This is sadly the extent of my skill and creativity but you cannot rush genuis. My skillz will develop in time.
I tidied up the links section with some updates and new submissions, one of which is Grey’s Anatomy Online. As a new viewer, there’s a lot on Grey’s Anatomy that I’ve missed, such as the whole romantic saga between Derek and Meredith. Luckily, with this comprehensive website full of commentary and screenshots, I know exactly who screwed who. Speaking of screwing, in a recent episode Meredith decides to learn how to knit as a substitute for sex and I have to remark on how inaccurate this is. There is no bigger turn on than a garter stitched sweater, am I right or am I right?
Shibooya.Radio is finally updated with a series of ethnic tunes from the Middle East. I have a bit of a crush on the sometimes tubby Amr Diab and surely, after you hear his romantic crooning, you will too.
In the sidebar, I’ve added a useless spot for unbelievable, wacky, zany facts about yours truly. Refresh as necessary to get your daily dose of me.
I recently spent a quarter of my paycheck on Japanese stationary. I recieved my first batch of my purchase yesterday in the mail and I have to say, money well spent. I am planning on updating the penpal section with new information and images. I understand that all the pages need a bit of refresh and this will happen very, very soon. I promise, I will give you a good reason to be here.

I’ve never done a meme before and, in fact, I think I just lost several cool points for even mentioning it but I found a clever one from Nothing-Less.com. The Wikipedia Meme: search for your birth date and month. Select 2 events, 2 births and 1 death that occurred during the same time.
November 13th:Â
I was surprised to discover so many world changing events that happened on the very fateful day I ejected from my mother’s womb. Check it out, in 1775 Col. Ethan Allen and his Patriot revolutionary forces were attacked during the American Revolutionary War by British troops. Sadly, Allen and his men were soundly defeated in the fray. Fortunately for Rooms-to-Go showrooms everywhere, Allen went on to become the premier designer for casual home decor. Way to go, Ethan!
In 1990, the very first World Wide Web page was created igniting the creation of over a billion shitty Geocities pages just like it.
Joseph Fielding Smith, the founder of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints was born in 1838 (insert obligatory Mormon joke here).
Adorable Japanese singer Kumi Koda was born in 1982. Never heard of her.
Ol’ Dirty Bastard stunned the rapping community when he died in 2004. Your beats are still slammin’, ODB, hippa to da hoppa and you just don’t stoppa. Rest in Peace, motherfucker, amen.

Perhaps you didn’t check the “This Day in African History” website, but November the 13th happens to be day in 1950 on which:
“Seretse Khama is asked to renounce his chieftaincy of the Bambngwato tribe, Bechuanaland (Botswana), by the British colonial government, and is offered a pension in return. (Bechuanaland was thrown into turmoil when he married an English woman without the permission of the tribal elders.) He is banned from returning to Bechuanaland by the British when he refuses. (The ban lasts until 1956 when he and his uncle Tshekedi Khama renounced all royal claims).”
Actually, I don’t know quite exactly how I might make light of the above…

You’ve broken my heart. Seriously. I read that you watched ‘Grey’s Anatomy’ and wept openly for the first time in several years. The dialogue of that show is so . . . bad (As a non-English major, my vocabulary is . . . bad). And this coming from someone who’s entire TV diet consists of daytime talkshows. But I forgive you. After all, you provide the masses with cool music in Shibooya radio- which I need to check out now.
There is something weirdly addicitve about getting stationary from far away, isn’t there? My friend Liz sent me stationary from Japan that said ” What you have taste of cake?” on the envelope and “The day my dream comes true, my heart almost explodes’ on the stationary.

Those are really interesting facts about your birthdate. The one that got my attention the most was the one about the first webpage. Now that’s something. =)
The purple yarn header is really neat. The way that the purple weaves (pun intended!) with the blue is really pretty.
Nice stationery too. I used to be big on those things, too. Japanese and Korean stationary are the best. =)

Japanese stationary! I used to collect them, but there were too many cute ones and I didn’t want to go broke buying paper which I never wrote on.
Ethan Allen is a cool guy. My mother lovers that furniture company.
P.S. - Duct tape would probably smell “industrial” as you’ve said, but I don’t think it’ll stink too bad. The smell would gradually wear off after a while. Then again, duct tape users aren’t too picky about the smell!

Oh yearn, you’re learning how to stitch or crochet? I love crotcheting, it’s addictive. Maybe not a good substitute to sex, but it keeps you buzy and your mind off other things
Your stationary’s cute
I remember I used to collect stationary when I was little
