My sister and my mother recently sewed a fairy costume for my niece, Sophia, and ever since I’ve been completely obsessed with doing a photo shoot of Sophia in her adorable costume. Sophia is cheek pinchingly cute - and I’m not just saying that because I’m her aunt. She’s completely huggable but a very difficult subject to shoot, like most babies. Baby portraits aren’t really my thing - babies make me anxious but mainly it’s because making motorboat noises for 20 minutes can be tiring. I took over 200 photos and only 39 of those were worth editing.
They turned out well, but I would have preferred a warmer, overcast day. It was too sunny, too chilly, the sun was setting fast and Sophia’s patience was wearing thin. She’s awfully cute though.
