What can I say? I’m a sucker for carols, gingerbread houses, snowmen and Christmas lights.
It’s still not yet cold enough for scarves and coats in Florida, but I got bit by the knitting bug and have started a new scarf this weekend. After months and months of not touching yarn, I practically forgot how to cast on and purl.
Hey, it might not be as stunning as this Christmas Tree. But it’s ours (well, most of it, the rest of it is his mother’s and my mother’s) and wonderful just the same. Funny how different holidays are living away from home.

Haha…I had been doing crochet for the past couple months and hadn’t tried knitting since around last Christmas. I decided to work on a knit scarf and had to go by the yarn store for a quick 5 minute refresher on casting on, knitting, and purling. You’re not the only one!

Diana, I’ve always wanted to learn how to crochet actually because I’d love to make little stuffed animals. I haven’t really found a knitting pattern for stuffed animals yet. I think it’s so cute! But I’m not ready to buy another set of crochet needles.

I love x-mas carols!! I usually have them on in my car all month, haha~ At our house we usually don’t get the tree up until almost x-mas (a waste, I know).
I’ve been wanting to learn to knit.. my friend showed me how to crochet but I want to knit, haha~ My little sister had the knitting bug a few years back and taught herself. I should go make her teach me, mwuuahhahaahha~~

Hi! I see that you’ve got your christmas decorating well underway (another task that I am not doing so well with at the moment).
At least you’ve picked up your knitting needles! That’s always a good start.
I love that little bear with the scarf, btw.

Oh, your Christmas decorations are so lovely! I need to get mine up! (But I have to clean first…*sigh*)
Ah, you’re so lucky you live where it’s warmer. It’s 25 degrees up here in Pittsburgh.
