Fun and Food Blog has an ingenious recipe for garlic bread – Caprese Style.

Kawasaki Dashi’s entry on the Japanese New Year’s shows some typical, festive Japanese desserts. It made me crave a Tokyo Crepe!

Vegan YumYum has such a lovely presentation of a typical holiday dessert. So what if Christmas is over!

I found yet another doughnut recipe I want to try at The Cynical Chef – at the risk of encouraging another violent act of eating.

Apple Pie, Patis and Pate has a very scary (but impressive!) and complicated looking French Fruit and Spice cake.

Hungry Cravings describes the most perfect spatula. My perfect spatula? The one I bought at the $1.00. But it doesn’t double as a spoon or have an extremely useful hook. Bummer.

Imperrfections has a summer roll recipe I want to try, but I totally failed at navigating the Asian food market. Any guides out there on finding the ingredients I need?

Furey and the Feast has a bread recipe based on the podcast I saw of Mark Bittman’s No-Knead Bread recipe. But I’m scared of straying from the recipe which gave me my one and only success!

Andrew’s Recipes has a cocktail I could use right about now.

For the rolls you need rice paper wraps which come in a clear round container. And vermicelli noodles.

Hope you enjoy the summer rolls recipe!

The rice wrappers will look like this (in fact, this is the exact brand I usually use)

The rice noodles will come packaged like this:

    Thanks for the tip, Alisha!

Meg Kat, thanks for the pics! I’ve tried navigating an asian food market store before and, well, it’s a little intimidating. Plus, I’m not sure if there’s a difference in brands etc. But now I can see what I’m really looking for. I’ll take another stab at heading to the grocery store…or I just might amazon it!
