The white icing is totally store bought Betty Crocker’s. I simply didn’t have the time or the arm strength to make a fresh batch of icing, especially since I was in a rush to ice the cupcakes and haul them to Joann for the 3rd Wilton Cake decorating class. I arrived ill prepared and tired, managing to decorate only 4 cupcakes before the end of the class. Recipe for cupcakes at Cupcake Bakeshop.
Florida’s humidity makes it impossible for buttercream frosting to exist outside of the refrigerator without the components separating and melting. I had mild success with a different recipe that calls for boiling flour with milk which is later added to butter and sugar. Still, only mild success.

P.S. Harry Potter “dies” but he lives in the end. Voldemort kills himself accidentally and some other stuff happens. And I didn’t even read the book or actively seek out spoilers. I sympathize with true Potter fans that are trying to maintain the ending as a surprise.
