Suki and I spent our Easter weekend at home, preparing for brunches and enjoying the sunny weather. She made some new friends and helped out with some Spring Easter decorations:

Suki Goes to Orlando

Thursday, March 20th, 2008

Suki, Ismoyo’s fabulous hand-made creation, made her first stop to Orlando, FL this past Tuesday to start her journey all over the world.

Suki and her First Day in Orlando

On her first day, I decided to keep her in my Peruvian sack while we went on a brisk walk around my neighborhood. She got to see the vast expanses of typical Floridian golf courses (along with impatient golfers waiting until we finished with our photoshoot) and the serene, albeit man-made, waterways along the sidewalk. It was a positively gorgeous day-sunshine, breeze and blooming flowers.

During our long walk, we spotted an interesting looking house–a ferry boat house, complete with slowly rotating propellers. Apparently, the ferry boat was actually a welcome station to what used to be a miniature golf course but, once the put-put course went out of the business, the owner decided to transform it into a house!

I’m hoping Suki and I can enjoy a weekend of fabulous weather as we head over to the heart of downtown Orlando for some sightseeing and later an Easter family brunch. Where will Suki head next? That’s up to you! If you’d like to take in Suki as your short-term guest and help fill up her passport, please let me know and I’d be happy to send her your way! She’s eager to see her next destination and I promise, she’s a very gracious house guest.

Recap

1. I threw my sister a baby shower, 2. I turned 24, 3. I went to Puerto Rico, 4. 2008 Happened, 5. My sister had her kid, 6. I made Lemon Bars tonight but they kinda sucked

Sorry all, but much like Britney Spears, I needed a mental vacation.

P.S. I don’t know why it’s taking me so long to finish Obama’s book, but it’s probably the same reason why it’s taking me so long to figure out who to vote for or to learn much more about history.
